MIL MÁSCARAS (1942)
 
Is a Mexican luchador (professional wrestler) and actor. Regarded as one of the most influential wrestlers of all time, popularising Lucha Libre around the world, Mil Máscaras also starred in a series of 20 wrestling/horror/action films in 1966. He was described as the first international superstar of Lucha Libre along with El Santo and Blue Demon. 
Mil Máscaras is one of the few wrestlers considered legendary in Mexico, the United States, South America, and Japan. He debuted on July 16, 1965, in a tournament at the Arena de México. He teamed with Black Shadow and emerged victorious against René Guajardo and Karloff Lagarde. In 1968, he wrestled for the first time in the United States, achieving widespread success.
