BLUE DEMON (1917-1984)
 
Blue Demon was a luchador enmascarado (masked professional wrestler), folk hero, and film actor. Blue Demon is considered one of the biggest legends of Lucha Libre. Together with Black Shadow, they would form one of the most legendary duos in Mexican wrestling, the Shadow Brothers. In 1953, at the Coliseo arena in Mexico City, Blue Demon defeated his arch-enemy El Santo for the very first time, who would eventually form a pair in the ring, but also on the silver screen, starring in a series of “Luchadores” films. From 1964 to 1979, in a total of 25 horror; action, and sci-fi B-movies. Of those 25 films, Santo co-starred with him in nine of them. Retired without exposing his face to the public, he would later be buried in his signature blue and silver mask. 
Currently, his son, Blue Demon Jr continues his legacy.
