This artwork is the first creation of the Retrofuturista Art Project. It was made during the lockdown period as a way to cope with the challenging times.
The artwork showcases Mexican Lucha Libre wrestlers who were a source of admiration for Kemelyen, the artist, during his childhood. The artwork features several famous wrestlers such as Mil Máscaras, Blue Demon, El Santo, El Espanto, Black Shadow, and Mano Negra, battling it out in the ring to become champions. In real life, they also defeated some of their archenemies who formed the audience.

This is an unframed A3 size Open edition giclée fine art printing on archival Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm Textured Matte. To qualify for the title of a “fine art giclée print” it should be made on archival quality coated paper, and printed with pigment-based archival inks, which are UV stable.
