KARLOFF LAGARDE (1928 - 2007)
 
Carlos Delucio Lagarde, better known as Karloff Lagarde, was a Mexican luchador (professional wrestler) and actor. Throughout his career, he faced most of Mexico’s top stars of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, including Lucha Libre legends like El Santo, El Solitario, Mil Máscaras, Black Shadow, Huracán Ramírez, Ray Mendoza, and Perro Aguayo. He was famously known as the King of the Welterweight. Lagarde teamed up with René Guajardo to form a tag team called Los Rebeldes, which was considered one of the top five tag teams in Lucha Libre history. During the golden age of Lucha Libre films, the duo Lagarde-Rene Guajardo also appeared in several movies. They portrayed unmasked wrestlers as Ángel and Satán, as well as masked wrestlers in the movies.
