CAVERNARIO GALINDO (1923 - 1999)
 
Rodolfo Galindo Ramírez, a non-masked luchador (professional wrestler) and film actor, was best known by his ring name, Cavernario Galindo (Caveman Galindo), and a caveman gimmick. He was one of the top 10 greatest luchadores of all time in Mexico. He is also famous for inventing “La Cavernaria”, a modified surfboard hold that is now a commonly used submission hold in modern Lucha Libre. His debut as a wrestler in 1938 at the age of fifteen was under the name Ruddy Valentino. He later wrestled as Ruddy Galindo before adopting the name that would make him famous. El Cavernario starred in several Lucha Libre B-films, often playing supporting roles or as villain, zombie or other fictitious characters.
